Damian Hirst - Schizophrenogenesis

"Pills are a brilliant little form, better than nay minimalist art. They;re all designed to make you buy the,…they come out of flowers, plants, things from the ground, and they make you feel good, you know, to just have a pill, to feel beauty."- Damian Hirst

A few days ago, I had a bit of free time so I decided to check out some galleries that was near by to pass the time. And soon  stumbled on Paul Stolper Gallery in Holborn, near the British museum.

The gallery presented 'Schizophrenogenesis' with prints and sculptural editions by Damian Hirst. Luckily I got there on time as the exhibition closed on Saturday.

It was interesting and fun to see large size pill bottles there were almost as big as you and pills as big as your head.

The collection displayed Hirst's Life-ling investigation into "our almost-spiritual relationship with the rigours of science and the pharmaceutical industry".

Even thought the gallery space was small, it is still worth the visit if you like playful art and see the large medicines for yourself. Same it is now closed and not open for longer.

TIP: For updates on galleries and exhibition in London, I use the Timeout London app which has been very useful for things to do in London!

Until next time,
