Thank you to the lovely Lucy from lucylovestoeat for tagging me for the Food Bloggers Get To Know Me. I was pleasantly surprised as even tho I LOVE food, I never really thought of myself as a food blogger (but secretly wanna be food blogger). This tag is such a great and fun way to get to know other bloggers better so lets do this!

Name: Tiffany

What was your reason for starting a blog?
I started this blog as I wanted a place where I could document all of my own artwork in one place and to write my progression as I went through A-Levels and applying to art universities. Since then, my blog is still full of creativity but focused more towards on D.I.Y crafts, travel and places to eat.
Here’s a photo of a painting I did back in 2010 of my Mum and myself as a child.

What’s the dish you’re most proud of?

I do love to cook but I think I bake better, so it has to be my coconut tarts! Thinking of it, I haven’t made some in a while but I can ensure you they are delicious... if you like coconuts that is.

I made these few years ago for some Aunties for Easter when visiting their home.

What one kitchen utensil could you not live without?
My Victorinox swiss knife! It is the only knife I use for cutting when I’m cooking as it’s that good.

You’re stranded on a desert island. What three ingredients do you take with you?
Oh dear... hmmm can I say three foods instead? If so I would say mangos, potatoes (I love potatoes, mash them, fry then, roast them, I love them all!) and Shanghai dumplings!

Who do you take inspiration from?
I take inspirations mostly from recipes on Pinterest and food accounts I follow on Instagram but most of the time I go with the flow when it comes to my cooking. Like a tasty experiment.
When I crave something I would immediately search online how to make it especially when I miss or crave a Chinese dish and can’t buy it anywhere near me.

Your favourite social media platform?
Instagram hands down.

Biggest disaster in the kitchen?
When I was younger, I was helping my mum cook and she asked me to peel the carrots. So I did, however I peeled them right through as I thought she wanted it shredded and not just the outer skin. My Mum didn’t now what to think so she just laughed. haha. it was quite funny, I know better now! #oops #dontaskmetogratecarrots

Favourite spot for coffee?
I have recently visited  Drink, Shop, Do which has been on my list of coffee shops to visit but never had the time to until a couple of weeks ago. Now it has become one of my favourite place for a cuppa. This little cafe is no ordinary coffee shop, they actually have a shop inside selling many cute stationery and jewellery goods but also they turn into a bar at night too! They also hold lots of different events throughout the week so do check their website to see what they’re hosting! - Blog post on this cafe coming soon!

Favourite food photo you’ve taken?
This one...
It may not be the most beautiful food photo ever, however this represent my love for HK Cha Chaan Teng (tea restaurant). This was taken at The Match Box in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, and their restaurant is known for their Western twist to traditional tea restaurant dishes, which in a way I feel this restaurant is a food representation of me as British Chinese.
I’m so hungry right now and missing Hong Kong as I write this post.

What would you say was your most successful blog post and why?
For a food post it would be my Christmas Macaroon D.I.Y
As I can’t really believe how well they turned out! These macaroons is a mixture of my love for food and also creativity.

Now nominate three food bloggers you’d like to get to know more.
I’ve never really been social in the blogger community with my busy work life and being an introvert does make it hard to reach out to people. However, recently I’ve gone back on bloglovin and have been enjoying discovering new blogs and the creators behind them. So with that said I would love these three lovely, creative ladies to do this tag and get to know them more.
Michelle from Creative Food
Lottie from Lottie’s Kitchen

Have fun Ladies!
